Meet Me On Monday...

Every Monday Java over at Never Growing Old hosts a Meet me on Monday blog hop that is always fun and helps to introduce new folks. Hop on over and check it out!!

Today's Questions:

1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
2. Do you read the newspaper daily?
3. Marinara or meat sauce?
4. Last time you cried?
5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying?

1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?

I am a pretty simple person when it comes to ice cream, usually a dish, on a rare occasion a sugar cone (then the ground).

2. Do you read the newspaper daily?

No, our paper price is very high and they have taken out the coupons and put them in our local free paper and the TV guide is gone so there is nothing I can get from the local paper that I can't get from the local TV news for free. (Plus its better for the environment.)

3. Marinara or meat sauce?

Neither if I can help it, I really don't like the taste or consistency of cooked tomatoes (yes that means I am not a big pizza eater either)  I love Alfredo and cream sauces though.

4. Last time you cried?

Last night we went to see Jeff Dunham and I had tears coming out of my eyes laughing, does that count?  If not I then I am not sure, its been a while.

5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying?

"Yous all" or "yous guys", my in-laws say both of these a lot, and I don't know where it came from since according to the Urban Dictionary "Yous guys is a northeast phrase (often used by jersey girls and long islanders) meaning you guys. The extra 's' is not silent and is added for no reason whatsoever."  No one is from Jersey in the family!?!?

Have a great week everyone!!

  1. I want to know if you peed when you were laughing so hard. Did Jeff do to you what Jenny and I have been trying to do for over a year?

I wonder where the in laws picked that phrase up. *lol*

  2. I hate that phrase too! Use proper English for pete's sake. Using "yous guys" makes me think you were born a hillbilly.

  4. That phrase is used all the time here in Wisconsin.....I really try not to say it but when you're brought up with it, it's really hard to get rid of the slang.

  5. Born & raised in New Jersey and I swear I have never heard that used by anyone I know. Now, Long Island, NY...that's a definite possibility. Ya know....Lowng Eyeland.

  7. I dislike it when people say yous. I often say back to them ewes are sheep! Definitely something that gets under my skin!
    Have a great week!

  8. I'm a dish person when it comes to ice cream as well -- partly because I'm far too klutzy to eat it any other way and partly because I don't want to risk losing any of the toppings :-)

  9. Funny answers! "then the ground" BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Upstate NYers say "Yous guys" sometimes. Drives me bananas, especially because I AM from Upstate and have no idea where it came from! It's common among Italians.
