Friday's freebie...

Do you have a child who is fascinated with outer space or technology? If they would love a cool poster of the Whirlpool Galaxy or a Majestic Gas Shell as seen through a telescope in their room then check out today's freebie. The National Radio Astronomy Observatory is sending out free posters and brochures. You can order one or both of the posters. If you are an aspiring astronomer yourself they have beautiful brochures that look very interesting as well!

Radio astronomy is a national resource that contributes to American competitiveness and drives progress in key technologies. Technical innovations developed or enhanced for radio astronomy are found in communication antennas, transistor design, cryogenic coolers, medical and scientific imaging, time and frequency standards, atomic clocks and GPS navigation, precision spacecraft navigation, laser rangefinders, and location of cell phone 911 calls.

Have a great Friday everyone!

  1. That's cool. I'm going to have to post that to my FB wall for my friends with kids.
